It is the month of June,
The month of leaves and roses,
When pleasant sights salute the eyes,
And pleasant scents the noses.
Roses are my favorites flowers. They have inspired so many songs and poems, among which
"Mon Amie la Rose" by Françoise Hardy and "L'important, c'est la Rose" by Gilbert Becaud :
What matters is the Rose :
You, for whom I sang those few lines,
As if to make a passing gesture,
Now respond by saying
That the only important thing in life
Is a flower that dances
On the wings of time.
And this beautiful Poem : "The Song of the Rose" by Sapho :
For Zeus chose us a King of the flowers in his mirth,
He would call to the rose, and would royally crown it;
For the rose, ho, the rose! is the grace of the earth,
