i'm going to do something i've never done before...i'm going to decorate the house for christmas before thanksgiving! http://www.thedigichick.com/forums/images/smilies/confused0068.gif

i've always been a staunch "no decorating until the day after thanksgiving" kind of girl, but we are traveling for thanksgiving for the first time in our 7 year marriage and i want to get it done before we leave so that it is done when we get home. how nice will it be to walk in to a christmas-y house?

so who else is getting ready to decorate?

We're going to start this weekend and then hopefully have it all done by Thanksgiving. I'm so excited! I am however sad because it means we can't put up a real tree. Since we're going to Disney in a few weeks it just isn't going to work out (and still look good by Christmas).

Not me, I must wait! :) My son's birthday is December 6 and I don't let myself decorate for Christmas until after we have celebrated his special day.

I usually wait till after my birthday on Nov. 29th. As a kid, I would *insist* that we wait until after my birthday! :giggle I'm thinking of starting early this year though, since we're having guests over that day, and it would be nice if the house was Christmassy already. We usually get a live tree though, so that part may have to wait.

I wouldn't wait either Leslie if my son's was on that date. I'm barely fending off waiting until the 6th. It's crazy how many stores already have their decorations up!

We got a new tree while we were out tonight. I've been pulling for a new thinner one and we got it! It will fit better and it has over 1000 lights already on it. We're going to start first thing in the morning. DS wanted to stay up tonight to do it?!

I have to wait! We will move on dec. 6th so I think it wouldn't make sence to decorate everything now ;)

I always wait until I'm done shopping, so I am planning to do it next weekend, the earliest ever! But no tree, we get a real tree, and it's much too early for that.

Next weekend! I always put up the tree on December 1st, but since it's a Monday, we'll do it the Sunday before. That means I need to find time this week to go out and buy some new stuff to refresh the existing decorations... Fun!

We got almost everything done this weekend! Our dining room tree only has the lights on it so I still need to finish that one up tomorrow. It is so nice to have it up. My husband even strung lights from the ceiling in Jameson's room. It is so bright in there!

I'm doing it tonight! We have family coming in for Thanksgiving, and my house looks best during Christmas, so I like to decorate before they get here :) I put up all the garlands and the showy tree in the foyer, but we wait until later to do the "family tree" in the living room. Who's done theirs already? I wanna see pics!

Gosh, you guys are really making me feel bad. Hey, I ALWAYS have my tree up and decorated at least 3 days before Christmas, and Daver gets the lights up before the girls come home! I KNOW! I KNOW! I'm a mess!
