i wish it snowed here. IF we get snow and that's a big IF, it's melted and gone within a couple of hours. i'm kind of jealous!

Ahhhh yes, we woke up this morning to snow and I was really shocked. It's unusual for it to snow already here (and for there to be coverage)! My kids were ecstatic though, but it has already partially melted, so I know my DD will be disappointed when I pick her up from preschool. I keep telling her though that we have the whole winter ahead of us! :D

I'm putting up some decorations this week. I can't wait! I love Christmas lights :) HATE snow, though. Luckily, we usually only have 2 days of it.

Not much snow here... just ICE.... which is far worse!!!

Not quite ready for Christmas and the decorations and stuff. Too much going on, I guess??? It is getting cold here and there is a *chance* for flurries tomorrow. With that said, though, we'll be lucky to spot a flake or two floating around. Usually when they call for it, we dont' get it. Humpph!

If it weren't for the skiing, I would hate it too. Ice is far worse!! So I will count my blessings :). Camilla do you guys put up lights?

We don't typically get snow at our house but so far this year we've already been to where it was snowing twice. My local friends are so jealous. I love it but mainly because I'm from Ohio and remember the fun we had as kids.

This is what I saw yesterday... (Cades Cove, TN)

Yep, it snows here, all winter long. :) Two years ago, we had 36 inches of snow a week before Christmas, and a couple of years before that 22 inches all at once. But that is a bit unusual. Usually the snow in town melts between storms, but of course, it just keeps building up in the mountains at the ski resorts.

Oh surely you ski Laura? My DH usually goes to Colorado in the winter to ski. However, this year he is off to Park City, UT.

We get only a few storms with lots of snow, but once we get snow, it stays around until March.

Sadly, I'm not a downhill skier. It's too scary for my taste. :) But I do like to cross country ski and also to snow shoe. And I'm making sure that my son gets lots of snowboarding lessons while he is still small so he will love it when he is older.

I think Park City is a really cute ski town, I hope your DH has fun!

Thanks. I know what you mean about scary though. Kids should defintely learn young and fearless, lol. I've only been skiing for 4 years and I stick to the medium hills here, which are bunny slopes there, lol.

No snow here! I live in southern California. I like that I can go to the mountains for snow if I want some, but don't have to deal with it daily. I'm a tropical kind of girl and I like my warmth! :D

OMG...it's freezing here but NO snow!!!! I love the snow as long as we don't have to get out and about in it!!! :giggle I can't wait to purchase a home with a huge fireplace. I love the sound and the smell. No Xmas decorations or lights up here yet. We normally start doing that the nite of Thanksgiving or the day after. I know our neighbors have lights up already and I just LOVE"EM!!!! I can't wait to visit the gorgeous lighted parks!!!! I love this time of the year!!!! :wub

Its supposed to snow here today, but its still pouring rain. Yeah, it gets really interesting here when it snows. Starts out wet, slowly freezes and then it snows on top. :giggle And nobody knows how to drive in the stuff here, so everybody ends up in the ditches. :p But... I love it, I love winter, I wish it would snow for 3 months straight.
